London bilingual ( ENGLISH / DEUTSCH ) - Docklands / Canary Wharf / West Kai

First Picture: Here we are at the West Quay: On the bridge the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is passing us by. In the far background You see the cranes of the Canary Dockyard - You might have a look at it working changing Your location a bit. No decline around as might have seen some years before ... Picture below: This bridge was of interest to me - impressive design and statics as well ! So i crossed it to inspect ... Done this i was asked by a native Londoner: "did it open ?" At this moment i was i bit bewildered ... But at last - this bridge was completely new (only two weeks old - in June of 1997) ! So it was a little attraction to Londoners themselfs !	near Canary Wharf nahe dem Canary Kai	Erstes Bild: Wir sind hier am West Kai: Auf der Brücke fährt die Docklands Light Railway (DLR) vorbei. Im ferneren Hintergrund kannst Du die Kräne der Canary Werft sehen - wenn Du Deine Position etwas änderst, kannst Du sie arbeiten sehen. Kein Verfall, wie Du ihn möglicherweise vor einigen Jahren hättest sehen können ... Bild darunter: Diese Brücke hat mich interessiert - ein eindrucksvolles Design und eine eindrucksvolle Statik ! Deshalb überquerte ich sie, um sie in Augenschein zu nehmen ... Als ich fertig war, fragte mich ein Londoner: "war sie gerade geöffnet ?" In dem Moment war ich etwas verdutzt ... Letztendlich - die Brücke war brandneu (erst zwei Wochen alt - im Juni 1997) ! Deshalb war sie auch für Londoner eine kleine Attraktion !
