London bilingual ( ENGLISH / DEUTSCH ) - Horse Guards / Lifeguards (Leibgarde) / Blues and Royals / Household Cavalry Regiment (berittenes Leibregiment)

Now let's have a preview for a moment what most tourists like ;-) We are at Whitehall within the City of Westminster watching the Guardschanging at Horseguards. How I believe, the Life Guards, we watch at, are one of the former 2 Regiments by Horse (in 1992 amalgamated to the Household Cavalry Regiment) stationed in London. I want You to know, that allmost all "red-dressed" (and You will see a lot of them) do a real Job in the army and never are a tourists attraction only. They served in the gulf conflict for example. The second picture shows the Blues and Royals amalgamated in 1969 from 2 former existent Regiments (both formed in the 17th century - to the Household Cavalry Regiment nowadays) - but unfortunately i do'nt remember where i met them :-(.	The Life Guards - formed in 1660 die Leibgarde - aufgestellt 1660	Jetzt machen wir kurz eine Vorschau auf das, was fast alle Touristen mögen ;-) Wir sind in Whitehall mitten in Westminster und sehen uns die Wachablösung an den Horseguards an. Die Life Guards, die wir oben sehen, sind eines der ehedem 2 berittenen Regimenter, die 1992 zum berittenen Leibregiment verschmolzen wurden, in London. Ich möchte an dieser Stelle sagen, daß nahezu alle "rotgekleideten" (und Du wirst noch viele sehen) einen wirklichen Job in der Armee haben und keinesfalls nur eine Touristenattraktion sind. Beispielsweise dienten sie im Golfkrieg. Das zweite Bild zeigt die Blues and Royals, 1969 aus der Vereinigung zweier im 17. Jhdt. gegründeter Regimenter hervorgegangen, jetzt ebenfall berittenes Leibregiment. Leider weiß ich nicht mehr, wo die Aufnahme entstand :-(
